Countdown to Flawless Skin
Whatever the occasion – wedding, holiday or work summer do, looking your most radiant for a big event is much easier if your skin is in tip-top condition beforehand!
Beauty insider and founder of Studio10, Grace Fodor, shares with us how you can prep your skin for that special day, listing her top finds in an easy to follow timeline, for glow-to-go at every age!
2-3 Months Before
If you can start your beauty prep months in advance of the big day, you'll be well on your way to achieving those beauty goals! Overhaul your diet with a focus on skin rich nutrients (choose foods high in vitamins A, C and Biotin). Adding a supplement now will allow your body to enjoy maximum benefits on time.
Grace's Find: I love Rejuvenated Collagen Shots, it's a supplement powder containing marine collagen and vitamins you need for plumper, more hydrated looking skin. I simply mix mine with water and take it before bed, it tastes like berries which is a plus!

6 Weeks Before
Now's the best time to start treating your skin with a targeted regime aimed at your skin’s needs. If you visit most beauty counters they can give you advice, but it might be worth booking an appointment with a dermatologist too.
If you’re planning on having a facial ahead of the big day, have the first one six weeks before, to ensure it’s right for your skin.
Grace's Find: Tatcha has a great guide and some fantastic "at home" kits, while Sarah Chapman Bespoke Treatments (in London) is my absolute go-to for high performance facials. They're sought after by celebrity and beauty devotees too, so book well in advance.

2 Weeks Before
A good exfoliation regime a couple of times a week between now and the big day will slough off any dead skin cells, reduce the size of your pores and leave your skin looking flawless.
Grace's Find: Liquid Gold from Alpha-H contains exfoliating Glycolic Acid and is one of the best formulas I've found for exfoliating the skin. Apply to the face with cotton wool, two or three times a week before bedtime - you won’t believe the difference it makes!

The Week Before
If you’re having another facial, now is when to do it to allow it to settle down. This is also when to have your brows shaped and any waxing done!
SHAVATA BROW STUDIO
I suggest waiting three days before the big day for a spray tan if you’re getting one – make sure you’re fully exfoliated and don’t go darker than normal.
Grace's Find: Shavata Brow Studios are where I go to keep my brows in order. They're specialists in threading, tinting and semi-permanent lash extensions, and have a number of studios across the UK. And why not try James Read for an airbrushed tan?

On The Day
Prep your skin in your usual way, you really don’t want to do anything out of the ordinary at this point! Remember to sip water regularly throughout the day to avoid signs of dehydration.
Most importantly, breathe, relax and enjoy your day - happiness radiates and a heartfelt smile is the ultimate beauty trick!
