The natural passing of time, the menopause, busy careers and non-stop family life all play their part in how our skin looks and feels, particularly affecting the delicate skin around our eyes. The skin loses elasticity and fine lines can deepen.

The most effective way to bring tired eyes back to life is to add shape and create definition with makeup. A few clever tricks and subtle tweaks to your eye makeup routine can make a huge difference – refreshing and brightening your eyes in an instant.  Just follow these easy steps:

Always start with a primer. Apply to lids in a patting motion to give an even base and make the eyeshadow last longer.

Apply a neutralising light shade over the eyelid, focusing on the centre to create a wider eye. This will also set the primer in place.

Create a natural crease with a mid taupe shade, blending upwards to create a bigger lid and make eyes larger.

Pat a dark define shade like a rich brown on the outer corner of the eye in a triangle towards the middle and blend.

Define the lower lashes by pressing the dark define shade along the lower lash line.  Using an eye shadow brush soften the line by smudging it slightly.

Finish by applying a highlighter just beneath the brow bone and in the inner corner of the eye.  My trick for wide-awake- eyes.

Lashings of mascara to finish off the whole look and you're done. Our 6-in-1 Perfect Lash Mascara will not only add length and volume but will nourish and condition your lashes too.
