MY FAVOURITE FEMALE OWNED BRANDS
This month we have been celebrating all things female, from International Women’s Day to Mother’s Day. As founder of Studio10, I love discovering other female-led businesses – and there are so many of them out there. Strong women, with strong ideas, who go on to turn these ideas into successful businesses. Here is just a small selection of my some of my favourite brands and businesses that are led by women.
The All Bright
Set up in 2017 by Debbie Wosskow OBE (Founder of LoveHomeSwap) and Anna Jones (former CEO of Hearst), the All Bright is a female only members club designed as a place where women can co-work and network. I became a member at the beginning of the year when I was looking for somewhere in Central London where I could easily work remotely and where I could also hold meetings.
Part restaurant, part bar and part spa, these clubs offer women a very comfortable and safe place to work and socialise, with a large focus on networking. The clubs organiseevents, introduce you to other membersand actively encourage women to network. Women from all industries set up here regularly to take meetings – you never know who you might bump into! I love these venues and the purpose behind this business – women supporting women in industry – and they do a fantastic job of creating a gorgeous space to do it in.

The Hollis Company
I was lucky enough to meet the fabulous Rachel Hollis in New York last year. Leaving her small town for the lights of LA, Rachel started working at Miramax and eventually moved onto to owning her own events business which blossomed into multiple divisions including a branding and communications agency as well as a lifestyle blog.
These days Rachel is best known for her wildly popular self help book ‘Girl, Wash Your Face’ and her motivational speaking and podcast. This woman goes from strength to strength, and still only 35 it is exciting to think about where she will go next. She truly is an inspiration and shows how you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

Canva is an exceptional online design platform that allows anyone to be their own graphic designer. From creative CV’s and presentations, to Instagram posts and party invitations, this website has thousands of templates and features that allow you to create beautifully designed artwork.
Started by Melanie Perkins in 2007 as a student, she identified a need to create something simpler than other professional online tools for design. Together with two friends she then launched Canva, which is now used worldwide and valued at over $3 billion. I regularly use Canva to produce all of our social media creative and can get lost for hours playing around with the designs.
