As founder of Studio10, I love discovering other female-led businesses – strong women, with strong ideas, who go on to turn these ideas into successful brands. Here are a few of my personal favourites I’ll be supporting this Black Friday. 

 

Ridley London

I’m a huge fan of Ridley London, who design beautiful, individually made pieces that take you seamlessly from day to night. Founded by Camilla Ridley “to empower women to look and feel their very best”, their ethos is to celebrate individuality. I love the sheer elegance of Ridley dresses and coats, and particularly the decadent velvet and depth of rich colours in their new festive range. 

Wiggy Kit

Founded by Wiggy Hindmarch in 2015, her concept was to design beautiful pieces that offered ultimate versatility. This is clothing that has wearability, adaptability and durability; and while the price tag is at the top end, for Wiggy “consuming less and loving more” is what it’s all about. These are pieces that will stay in your wardrobe for years. I particularly love the Lantern Jumpsuit – dressed down with trainers or up with heals, this is versatility at its best.   

 

Rae Feather

The eponymous Rae Feather launched a beautifully crafted and luxurious brand of woven, monogrammed basket bags, hand-printed accessories, clothing and homeware back in 2013, and it has been one of my go-to brands ever since. My current favourite for the winter evenings is their range of soft lambs wool throws, all in gentle pastel colours, which can also be monogramed for a more personal touch. The perfect Christmas gift or even just a treat for yourself to snuggle under.   

Jess Collett Milliner

Founded on the basis of a genuine love and passion for headwear Jess Collett strives to bring the enjoyment of the bespoke experience to everyday wear. She does this perfectly with her beautifully crafted hats and hairbands - of which I have a few! I love her ethos that ’Everyone deserves to wear an item that makes them feel special’. Going to treat myself to one of her new turbans this Black Friday. 

Stories Parfums

According to Tonya Kidd-Beggs, founder of award winning Stories Parfums, “our sense of smell is the most powerful one we have.” I absolutely love these luxurious perfumes - no 2 is my favourite; so unique in that each one has been created by Tonya to tell a story – as the name suggests – to “capture a moment and unblock a memory significant to her.”  Sustainability also sits at the core of these fragrances, as well as being a gender inclusive collection to be worn by men and women alike.

Goodlookers

Here at Studio10 everyone knows that I LOVE my glasses, and family-run company Goodlookers is my favourite brand when it comes to the practicality of reading glasses alongside the wearability as a fashion accessory. These glasses really are value for money with lightweight, high quality frames, and a huge range of up-to-the-minute fabulous frame designs, colours and patterns. I am NEVER without a pair!
