Women often tell me that they find makeup time consuming, even confusing - that was me too! So I’ve made makeup easy in just four simple steps that anyone can do from home.
It’s our shortcut to flawless skin, lit within radiance and ageless beauty. Revealing (or enhancing) your natural beauty at any age.
Prep your skin by smoothing out uneven skin texture, and add lit from within radiance, creating the perfect base for makeup.
As we get older our skin tends to get drier, duller and more textured. To combat this, it’s important to always prime the skin, creating an even base for your makeup.
A good primer will not only smooth the complexion but also add a lit from within glow to add radiance lost over time. We recommend looking for one with gold rather than silvery tones, as this will look more natural on the skin!
It’s a cover-up job to correct and conceal redness, blemishes, pigmentation and skin imperfections for flawless, perfected skin.
Over the years our skin goes through a lot, creating blemishes and pigmentation. As a result, we have more to cover up to achieve flawless skin. Despite BB creams and mineral foundations being great, they often don’t provide the coverage required for more mature skin.
That’s why for the ‘perfect’ step we recommend a medium to full coverage foundation, with hydrating properties to nourish the skin throughout the day.
Spanx for the face. Adding shape and definition to enhance features and create a natural looking lift.
As we age our brows tend to become sparser and our skin loses collagen and elasticity, meaning lips lose their shape and become thinner. To add lost definition we recommend filling in the brows to frame the face by using short hair-like strokes in an upward motion.
Then in order to create balance, you should also line the lips. Using a darker shade along the lip line, then a light shade to highlight and line the Cupid’s bow to accentuate shape further.
For an instant complexion pick-me-up add a flush of healthy colour and glow.
This step is about adding back the colour concealed by makeup. Whilst bronzers are great to add warmth to the face, they are best used in the summer.
This is why we recommend using a peach toned blush. Peach has orange pigments to add warmth to the skin, whilst having pink tones to brighten, adding a healthy flush of colour.
